Lancée en pleine opération rachat, la série PES souhaite passer la seconde et retrouver le statut de référence sur machines HD. Alors qu'elle n'est plus considérée que comme simple alternative à FIFA, la simulation de Konami a été retravaillée en profondeur afin de reconquérir le cœur des connaisseurs du ballon rond.
